Free Weekend “Pack-a-Sack.” Every Friday during the school year, children identified  by their school principal and/or social worker of being at risk of having nothing to eat over the weekend are given a sack of food to take home.

Students look forward to receiving their Pack-a-Sack and often ask for an extra for a sibling or parent. At participating schools, Friday attendance is up and disciplinary problems are down.
